Characters along the way included Shelley's family, Kenda's family, children at Kenda's four year old niece's birthday party, my family and some friends, Renae, and some characters curious about Gidget. She was a conversation starter.
The setting includes the highways from Vancouver to Lacombe, Alberta. Also, Shelley's cabin on Lake Okanagan, Kenda and Shelley's parents homes, Kelowna General Hospital, the Hawaiian Luau birthday party, and my parent's place and surrounding fields.
Plot line entails lots of laughs, a few tragic Gidget accidents, and several conversations about the purpose of Gidget.
At one rest stop nearing Golden, BC, a woman asked us if we had a blow up doll with us because one of our friends was unable to join us. We replied yes, we had to leave our friend in Kelowna because she was too sick to continue. She gave us an awkward response and walked away.
In reality, we did unfortunately have to leave dear Kenda in Kelowna, but she is in good hands and Gidget did not replace her.
I'm not entirely sure why we brought Gidget, but she been fun. A good road trip buddy. I think we'll continue to travel with her.
My road trip buddies have continued on and I am still here in Lacombe enjoying the prairies.
