Living on my own has been a learning experience. I am enjoying the freedom and feeling fairly creative these days. Perhaps it is the extra time spent alone, or the fact that I don't need to impress anyone around.
a few lessons learned living on my own this month:
1. hanging out on my barber chair on the balcony is a great way to meet the neighbors
2. Arbutus coffee has the best, Capers the healthiest, and IGA the cheapest muffin and coffee deal within a 3 block radius of my apartment.
3. sugar is extremely flammable!
4. 1/2 vanilla soy milk and 1/2 french vanilla yoghurt is not a perfect substitute for cream (when it comes to cooking with fennel, anyways)
5. taking tape off corners after you paint can take the paint with it.
6. don't believe pop ups telling you that you have a virus and need to install an antivirus! the antivirus is the virus and it is not fun when your computer gets a virus. :(
